We built powerful CPQ that shows its work
Your pricing is expressive, tailored to the value you provide and to how your reps explain it. Selling real deals takes flexibility in how quotes and contracts are created.
This is why most B2B SaaS companies still quote in spreadsheets, keep their order forms in a Google Doc, and let a Slack thread stand in for an approval process. There's a golden rule underneath it:
No process or system should ever prevent a rep from selling the way they need to sell to close the deal.
As you grow, though, you start paying for that flexibility. The CRM drifts away from what was actually sold until someone reconciles it by hand, and most attempts to fix this end up becoming their own kind of mess. Reps should know exactly what they're authorized to sell, and leaders should have the systems to scale it.
I was an early engineer at Ashby, where I built tools for a world-class GTM org that ran its quoting on the CRM, spreadsheets, and Slack. It was a sharp team, but often the system was held together by discipline and memory. That approach gets you surprisingly far, but it breaks in familiar ways: managers get flooded with approvals and re-approvals, new hires take months to ramp, and the systems downstream of sales slowly fall out of sync.
So we built Colma from the ground up with power and flexibility at the core. It has the most expressive pricing engine we know how to build, approval policies that read the way you actually run deals, and a complete record of every decision along the way. We believe it's truly different.
What we won't build matters as much as what we will. There's no AI for its own sake, no rules you can't open and read, no year-long implementations run by a systems integrator, and no sprawl into billing and rev-rec. We'd rather do one arc extremely well and write it back accurately every time. The restraint is the point.
DEAL → PRICED QUOTE → ROUTED APPROVAL → SIGNED ORDER FORM → CRM
None of this is meant to be loud. We onboard a small number of teams each quarter, and we earn one RevOps leader's trust at a time.
If your quoting today is a spreadsheet, a Slack thread, and a CRM that doesn't quite fit how you sell, ask us for a demo. We'll run it on your pricing, not ours.
